It’s been a long time since I decorated a cake! (or at least it feels like it anyway) So this weekend, with a little bit of time on my hands I decided to bake a cake just so I could decorate it!
Plus… I like cake. And my husband is going to be gone all week. So I can eat all the cake I want and he won’t know. heehee ;)
And since this cake was just for me… I OF COURSE… made it teal!!! :D
I mixed up my own teal, using green and blue wilton colors, and then put varying amounts into four batches of frosting and alternated as I went along.
For more detailed instructions you are going to want to go here… this blog is where I got the idea!! And her execution is obviously far better than mine!
But… mine is teal. :D
A tip… don’t do this in a room that is 80ish degrees. Bad idea, I tell ya. I’m not quite sure what I was thinking, other than I liked being toasty in the kitchen that is basically in the same room as our wood stove.
I think I would have had a lot cleaner results with a little bit cooler frosting! Oh well… I like it… it’s teal! (have you caught on yet?)
And now that Monday is coming to a close, I’m going to go eat some, and turn my mouth this pretty teal! ha!
